Why thirsty pasadena

When the dust had finally settled from a rampant few years, I realized that I needed to lean on other creative passions that would still captivate my artistic needs. Even though I was a singer in a metal band, I had also become the main marketing person for the band and had no knowledge of marketing or business but some graphic design experience from my high school classes, which I actually really enjoyed.

Naturally, that meant I designed almost everything we sold. An uninspiring culture matched with unrealistic expectations. This became the initial spark for the agency which would one day become Thirsty. We knew we could do it better and genuinely realized that we wanted to be apart of something bigger.

A dream location with an even better workspace that we could use to elevate our brand and instill positive culture amongst our team. Five years ago, the dream of recollecting those magic band days as an artist seemed unattainable but those early days of failure and perseverance have brought me back to the passion I first found in being creative.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way? Definitely not smooth, very challenging right from the beginning.

This plus the lack of business knowledge made it difficult to understand what to do next and if the steps we were taking were the right ones. Since we are all emotionally invested in this company, there were plenty of frustrating moments and disagreements that caused us to doubt whether or not we were actually going to make it.

Tell us about Thirsty Agency — what should we know? We are an integrated creative agency, made for brands built by fans. We partner alongside organizations to develop and create meaningful marketing campaigns that expand beyond traditional tactics and focus on audience engagement and strategy.

We specialize in creating fans and fandom for the brands we work with. Most recently we campaigned alongside Concacaf for Gold Cup , which was an incredible experience because the majority of our office consider themselves die-hard soccer fans. To watch our ideas go from whiteboard to television and stadium was a surreal experience.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story — who has played a meaningful role? Thankful and grateful for the people in my life that have helped me pursue my dreams. Before he replanted the front yard, Rose met with designer Sabrina Marie Swanson-Schnecklothat Armstrong Garden Center in Pasadena, which offers garden and water-wise consultations. A liquidambar tree offers shade and semi-privacy in a newly created seating area lined with decomposed granite.

The new niche comes with views of the San Gabriel Mountains and gives Rose an opportunity to connect with neighbors. Rose also removed the grass parking strips located between the sidewalk and street and replaced them with decomposed granite, upright rosemary rosmarinus officinalis and Japanese barberry berberis thunbergii.

To help save even more water, Rose installed a drip irrigation system that he uses twice a week. He received a small rebate from the Metropolitan Water District but is most pleased by the communal aspects of his new yard. Follow lisaboone19 for design news.
