Are there ghosts in skyrim

Look before you leap. Or, you can throw magic at them. Magic affects ghosts, as does silver. And, another thing- magic weapons don't have to be charged- they just have to have the enchantment. Aaahhhh tooshay i say u guys give this one to her. Good job Alessia. Alessia you're answering all my Q's! You're only 2 effective options are: 1. Personally, I never have, even though I suffer from a phobia of ghosts. Strangely enough though, ghosts in some quest mods I've played DO terrify me enough where I just outright refuse to play horror quest mods, even though I've never gotten past the initial part of the quest in any of them.

I was thinking about that guy who runs the inn in Ivarstead. The ghost are the local barrow obviously frightens him, but I never once found the ghost in there even remotely creepy. To me, they're too much like other enemies in the game. They're just standing around waiting for you, and when you show up they run up and attack you like any draugr or bandit.

And of course, there's nothing stopping you from fighting back. To me, ghosts are scary because you CAN'T fight back. Besides being completely invulnerable, you can never know where one is, which makes them impossible to predict. You really can't do anything about a ghost, since because of the latter power you can't even do anything to avoid them. So ghosts like the one in the lighthouse in Falskaar, or that one in Clockwerk which I've never played, just so we know , are too horrifying for me to face, even though the vanilla ghosts are certainly not.

Not even changing their appearance with a mod so they don't look like Star Wars holograms makes them scary to me, because their behavior is just so far from ghosts. And they're not even the most formidable enemies to begin with. Showing 1 - 15 of 24 comments. I don't get scared of anything in the vanilla game or mods except one creature from one mod but then again I have no phobias.

These ghosts though are pretty meh. I don't remember fighting a ghost until after I had a higher than silver tier of weapon but are they hurt by everything?

I remember the ghosts in Oblivion which didn't look like as you said holograms, and they could not be killed by mundane equipment. Oblivion has scarier enemies than Skyrim does for sure, like where are the liches and zombies?

We do have Dragon Priests which act kinda like the liches do but they don't look that frightening. I never got high enough level in that game to fight a lich. As for zombies, I never found them scary, just gross. I much prefer the less gross draugr over the more traditional undead found in Oblivion.

Hear some kids lament the loss of their husbands and daughters here. You can download vagonumero12's Haunting and Mourning mod here. Thanks, Kotaku. Skeletons are the reanimated bones of the dead. They are often found with draugr in crypts and ruins, and may also be summoned by necromancers in combat. This is a summary of information on skeletons. See the main Skeleton article. Zombies are creatures or NPCs that have died and been temporarily resurrected as combat allies.

They are created by use of a Reanimate spell or enchantment, usually by vampires , necromancers , or even you. For more details about using zombies as allies, see this page. This is a summary of information on zombies.
