Can you camp at canyon lake

Their glamping cabins are super nice and had everything we needed including AC, WiFi, full kitchen, fire pits, hammocks etc. We have a family of 6 and the setup was perfect: 2 queen beds and 2 twin beds.

The property itself pretty large and has a lot of…. This place is a kids heaven. Water park is a parents heaven, see the kids from just about anywhere within the park. Have an adult conversation for once. VERY tight sites compared to the other…. Wanted to camp here had everything set up willing to pay 2 weeks in advance then told that I couldn't stay because the owner said not showering for 2 week was discussing when I shower EVERYDAY and there are showers there on the grounds like wtf why would I not shower?

Then said it's limited to 4…. Great music and fun times , crowd is more for adulting , however older teenaged Children would be okay. Easy water access, facilities Clean. The community kitchen was my favorite part. This is a great little park right in the town of Blanco.

Sitting right on the river it gives you the feel of being in the country. Nice for swimming, kayaking, and fishing. Once I go onto the park the staff were nice, and helpful. If you don't know the park already, it was a little confusing finding my RV spot. Once found, the park was clean, nice and quiet.

It was not overly crowded and…. Did you find us useful? Did we forget something? Anything our community should know before heading out to Canyon Lake? The RV sites were a bit close together, which I understand they are trying to make the most of their waterfront property but would have been nice to have a bit more space. Seemed like mostly travel trailers, but we did see a few Class A's as well for folks with bigger rigs.

They stock the lake fairly frequently for any anglers out there. You can take a steamboat Ride, which we took a pass on, but folks were lined up for them so seemed potentially worth doing.

Bathrooms were clean, everything seemed to work fine. Felt jammed in to our space, and surround by other campers, but you are right next to the lake, which was pretty awesome. Back into your space and if you have rear windows the view is great.

A couple of spaces are parallel to the lake for side viewing. All spaces have a barbecue, fire ring, picnic table, 30 amp, 15 amp and water hookups. A row of trees runs the length of the gravel spaces for good shade and there are a number of trees in the green area as well.

The spaces are just wide enough for slide outs and awnings but the mostly green space between you and the lake is very deep. Plenty of room for games and for the kids to run around. There is a nice marina with boat and kayak rentals. Small store and a restaurant that has limited hours. Negatives, for us, the price is very high unless your into boating as you can park your boat behind your camp site on the shoreline 75 - 90 feet away. The spaces are narrower than we like and though the gravel is pretty level it's not paved.

Our electric pillar needed some work. The 30 amp plug was loose and the 15 amp plug was broken. The bottom of our barbecue was rusted through in several places. Lots of flies to the point that we spent more time than normal inside our RV.

Also be aware that there are a couple of skunks that scavenge after dark. A couple of dogs down the way from us that were not on leashes got sprayed one night. Though it's not the RV parks fault the road to the Canyon Lake, Apache Trail, has needed to be resurfaced for several years. It is a very bumpy ride when you get into the mountains.
