Shops and Restaurants Live in a 5-minute city At Culdesac Tempe, our retailers are award-winners, community leaders and visionaries. I would also go with the higher-end taxis; some of the cheaper ones can takes literally hours to get to you and they won't give you clear ETAs, either.
They'll just keep telling you "call if one hasn't shown up in 20 minutes". Thank you SO much for the replies. We are getting a morning bus in on the 7th from Phoenix , and flying out the morning of the 9th.
This leaves us the remainder of the 7th, and the 8th. We are keen on doing Kitt Peak, and according to their website, there is a shuttle company called Adobe that we might be able to use to get there. I am assuming that Kitt peak will take up most of one afternoon and evening. Do you guys definitely think that the Arizona Sonora desert museum should be first pick? Is it better to see than the Sabino Canyon? We are doing a fair bit of other nature sightseeing Sedona , Tombstone, grand canyon , would Sabino canyon not be a priority then?
It's just that I've never really been that big on zoos as high priority, which is why I initially looked over the A -S desert museum. During the day, it's mostly open to the public, allowing people to walk around and see things but there's not really that much to do or see. This is free. The night program is where they show you a telescope, talk about what they do and what they see and is a much more personal experience.
Not sure about this shuttle, but I can't imagine it's cheap. It's a long trip out there and they would pretty much just have to wait for you. Definitely should be a first pick. It is not just a zoo!
